Nets now available for use!

Following the Government’s move to gradually ease the Covid-19 lockdown measures, the ECB has issued guidance for the re-commencement of one to one training, within armature cricket clubs, which can be found here.

In line with this, Ben Rhydding Cricket Club has worked together with Ben Rhydding Sports Club, to create formal guidance for the use of the cricket nets, during this time.

1. A maximum of 2 people can use the net at any one time, unless everyone is from the same household. 2. Only BRCC Members are allowed to use the nets - No guests / visitors. 3. The nets must be pre-booked via the Google calendar. 4. Bookings slots are for a 1 hour duration , and should include the name of the user(s).0 5. Allow 10 minutes at the end of your booking to pack up and leave the net area. 6. Only one net can be used at a time. 7. One person can make up to a maximum of 4 separate bookings per week. 8. Only use your own equipment – we suggest you initial your own cricket ball. 9. Take all equipment and rubbish away with you when you leave. 10. Wash your hands thoroughly before and after using the nets - we recommend that you bring your own hand sanitiser. 11. Observe social distancing and the 2 metre rule at all times. 12. Do not use the nets if you or a member of your household has symptoms of Covid-19. 13. Please note that the clubhouse is currently closed, so there are no toilet, shower or refreshment facilities available. 14. The bowling machine is not available at this time.

With this in mind, we’re delighted to say that use of BRCC’s nets facility, is once again permitted, in conjunction with the guidelines.

Please note, the BRCC nets are only for the use of BRCC Members at this time.

Whilst we’re thrilled to be able to once again enjoy some form of cricket, we remind all Members intending to use the facility that it is essential that the guidelines are strictly followed, or we risk losing the nets facility once again.
