Welcoming of the Peter Bryett memorial bench
On a wet Saturday morning, ahead of the 1st XI home match against New Rover CC, family, friends and Club members gathered on the outfield, as we held a short ceremony to welcome the addition of the stunning Peter Bryett memorial bench to Coutances Way. Peter’s son, Chris Bryett, gave a short tribute to his father, particularly explaining how he had loved spending time at the ground, watching his grandsons play the game he became so fond off. The hard work on the ground is done, the admin is (mostly) sorted and the pre-season complete - The season is finally here!
Coutances Way is looking absolutely stunning ahead of hosting our first league match of the year. Many thanks to Peter Taylor, Harry Smallwood and all those who have contributed to getting us ready for today.

Record numbers for Season Eve Quiz
Now into its fourth year, our traditional season eve quiz may have been pushed forward a week due to an early Easter, but with record numbers getting involved, it once again proved to be a great success. Alex miller once again hosted the event, walking those present through rounds which would have been familiar to viewers of Pointless, Question of Sport and Blockbusters, along with the crowd favourite “Famous Johns” section. NWCF a big success!
By general consensus, one of the best BRCC NatWest Cricket Force events for many a year. Many thanks to all who gave some time today - We got a load done, getting us almost ready for the season ahead, and we had a great time doing it.
