2016 AGM completed!

With the drinks served, the 2017 BRCC AGM got underway just after 7.30pm, with players, captains, junior parents and coaches on hand, to reflect on the previous season and make plans for the year ahead.

The President, Frank Taylor, and Chairman, Robin Snook, gave their reports, before accounts of the 2016 season were given, on behalf of the 1st XI, 2nd XI, 3rd XI, Women and Girls, and Junior sections.

The election of officers followed, where Frank and Robin were voted back in to their existing positions, whilst Tom Holmes was elected as Club Secretary, after Matthew Grimes stepped down, following three years in the role. Alex Miller returns as 1st XI skipper, following on from his brother’s time at the helm, whilst Domonic Grimes takes the reigns of the 2nd XI. Chloe Dinsdale regrettably steps down as U9s coach, but we’re thrilled that she’s agreed to take on the role of Child Welfare Officer.

Discussion around the development of the Sports Club clubhouse and facilities followed, followed by the agreement of our key social dates for 2017, which can be found here.

Robin gave special thanks to our 2016 sponsors, who continue to be such a crucial part of enabling this Club to run, and allow us to give cricket to all ages, sexes and abilities, within our community.

Subscriptions and match fees were retained at the previous year’s rate once again, before Frank closed proceedings at 21.50.

Congratulations to all elected officers, and all those stepping up to the plate once again, ready for the 2017 season!
