2014 finishes with record numbers at Boxing Day Net!

The club’s now traditional end to the year saw a new attendance record for the 4th Annual Boxing Day Net.

On a crisp but bright morning, around 20 members, with representation from each section within the Club, got out their pads and bats for the post-Christmas workout. The bowling machine was in action as players were put through their winter paces.

Full bar services were provided for the hearty souls with tea, coffee, chocolates, sweets, Christmas cake all enjoyed, along with the odd tot of Whiskey and Port (However watching Peter Taylor bat the old adage “don’t drink and drive………… don’t even cut!!!” was never more appropriate!!! and he only had tea!!!)

Another hugely enjoyable occasion and another striking example of the wonderful club Community that BRCC generates. Let’s hope we can increase the numbers again next year and make it another unmissable social highlight in the BRCC calendar. PT
