New leaders at the helm!

As we continue to fight against the weather in preparing the ground for the coming season, we’re pleased to announce our ‘leadership team’ for the senior squads, for the 2018 season.

After significantly eclipsing our expectations last time out, Alex Miller will be stepping down as 1st XI captain. We thank him for terrific efforts and achievements, both on and off the field, and wish him well in his playing capacity, for the season ahead.

Henry Barrow steps up to fist team captain, bringing his passion and enthusiasm for the game, to the role. Henry will be supported on and off the pitch, by former second team captain, Oliver Musgrave, who comes off the back of a successful season in the 1st team in 2017.

There’s a change in the second XI too, as after overseeing the twos maintaining their Division B status (Now Division 7), Dom Grimes is also stepping down, with his vice-captain from last season, Danny Bell, stepping up to captain. Matt Vowles will become Danny’s vice, taking on the role, along with regular opening batter.
