1st team skipper Alex Miller takes charge

The night before the season opener… A quiet night in… NOT THIS YEAR!

On Friday 21st April, Countances Way hosted the first ‘BRCC Season Eve Quiz Night’. Orchestrated and hosted by 1st team skipper, Alex Miller, with support from Peter Taylor and Tom Holmes, over 70 members, players and friends crammed into the newly refurbished clubhouse, to take on the Pointless, Question of Sport and Blockbusters rounds.

The big screen was fired up, the bar was flowing, and terrific food was enjoyed. And a misspent knowledge of sport, music and pointless current affairs was declared.

As the night came to an end, with our host building the tension, Neil Hatton’s team narrowly missed out to Jess Bryett’s lot, who took home the glory and T20 tickets, whilst the Hattons made do with vouchers from club sponsor, the Wheatley Arms.

Thanks to Debbie and Phil for the excellent food, Peter Taylor, Robbie Miller and Hannah Spivey for working he bar, and once again, to Alex Miller for bringing it all together.

If Club spirit was the measure, we’ll top all the tables this season…
