2nd XI top, with one to come…

The Aire Wharfe 2nd XI division 3 champions will be decided next Saturday, with BRCC just one point ahead of our hosts at the weekend, Bolton Villas, following today’s win at Silsden.

Having bowled hosts Silsden CC out for 182, Oliver Musgrave’s side held their nerve to record a comfortable win in the end, chasing down the total four down, thanks to 67 from Sam Housam, and 44 from the skipper.

Earlier Danny Bell had taken 4-49, whilst Rob Withers, Andrew Jennings and Dom Grimes took two wickets a piece.

So it all boils down to next Saturday – With promotion secured, it’s a winner takes all match vs hosts Bolton Villas. Who’s going down to support the boys???

Meanwhile, the 1st XI helped Illingworth enjoy their penultimate match in the Aire Wharfe, setting them just 89 for victory. With a decidedly ‘end of season mood’ at Countances Way, the visitors knocked them off for the loss of three, off just 14.1 overs.
