Busy final weekend of 2015 season

A sad end to the season, as our 2nd XI lose at Harden, whilst Calverley win at Follifoot, which saw us fall into the relegation spots for the first time this year, meaning we’ll be playing in Division C next term.

However, Oliver Musgrave should be immensely proud of his young squad, many of whom who have stepped up into senior cricket this season, and made key contributions in a number of matches. In years to come, we will no doubt look back at this season as a key year in the development of a number of our leading players – Rhydding stars were born here, in 2015.

The 1st XI’s home match was a washout, so fittingly, they ended the season with last weekend’s win, taking the momentum of the superb second half of the campaign into next year.

As the players and supporters made their way back to Countances Way, the traditional end of season party started, with huge amounts of ‘international’ food, (Including Caribbean Jerk Chicken by our overseas, Kervon Christmas and homemade Lancastrian Pie from Christine Taylor) a few drinks, some dancing and a lot of reflection on a tough, but another hugely enjoyable season for the Club.
