The Rattlesnakes TB T20 Cup run ends!

The Rhydding Rattlesnakes, the Club’s T20 team, were knocked out of the TB T20 Cup at the semi-final stage, following a 5 wicket defeat to local rivals Ilkley CC.

The Rattlesnakes, three times winners of the Wharfe valley based TB T20 Cup, progressed out of their mini-league earlier in the competition, which saw us play matches against Steeton, Menston and Poole. This season we struggled to field a consistent side across our games, which isn't ideal to build that team dynamic, but credit to T20 skipper, Robbie Miller and his players for making it to the semis.

Throughout the competition, we entered into the spirit of the cup, with T20 Shirt Sponsor MSG Disco on hand during our home matches to pump out the tunes after every boundary, wicket and over, whilst the BBQ and bar at Countances Way has been keeping the spectators fed and watered.

Hard lines to the Rattlesnakes, and we'll go again next year as we aim to add a fourth star to our badge! *

*As has become standard practice within sporting circles, Club badges / crests are decorated with the appropriate number of 'stars' to depict how many times the team has won the leading tournament - eg, England have won the football world cup once - One star, sadly...
