BRCC represent the League at ECB Social Media Course

Tom Holmes (@7tholmes7) represented the Club(@BenRhyddingCC), as one of five representatives from the Airedale & Wharfedale Senior Cricket League(@AWSCL), at the recent England and Wales Cricket Board (@ECB_cricket) pilot Social Media Course.

Hosted by Digital Storyteller John Popham (@johnpopham), the three part course asked the question of how can we best use social media within club cricket, by exploring the opportunities social media gives, along with the relevancy, limitations and dangers of the key platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, Vine, and Instagram.

The League’s Media working group will meet up shortly to discuss the outcomes from the course, but there’s a real opportunity for BRCC to use social media in a more dynamic and relevant manor, to further communicate with existing members, better engage with occasional players and reach out to those new to the sport but who are looking to play some cricket!

If you’re interested in hearing more about BRCC’s approach to social media, or even getting involved in creating material, contact us through one of the platforms below.
