'Golf Challenge' proves a challenge!

The weather was kind to us, and the 3rd annual BRCC Golf Challenge was a great success, with barely a drip of the forecast rain falling.

Robin Snook led his team out first, with the rest of the teams following at 10 minute intervals, across the 18 holes of Bracken Ghyll Golf Club. Following Stableford scoring, and with all players having declared their handicaps (some more appropriate than others :-}!) we enjoyed the well prepared course. Perhaps the par 3 holes provided the most fun, and particularly the challenging 17th hole, where the ‘closest to the pin’ challenge was hosted, and won by… Stewart Miller.

As the teams hacked their way up the 18th green, and back to the clubhouse, the scorecards were collated, before a quick sprint down the road to Coutances Way. There, we enjoyed fish and chips, and a few drinks, before Robin Snook read out the winners, of the 2017 BRCC Golf Challenge… Stewart Miller and team… again… #Bandit.

Thanks to all involved in organising, and those who made the effort to get along on the day, and support the Club.
