Pre-Season Fixtures Announced

With Aire Wharfe league opening fixtures just days away, the club are delighted to announce their pre-season matches ahead of the 2016 season.

A mixed side of seniors and juniors will make the trip to Pontefract & District League side Brook Walton CC on Saturday April 2 in what we are expecting to be a difficult match. Brook Walton are a real success story of league cricket in recent years, having formed as recently as 2013 and achieved successive promotions in that time alongside cup glory.

The weekend after we face far more familiar opposition as the club's first team travel to near neighbours Ilkley on April 9. Having spent much of the 2014 season in the Aire Wharfe Division A relegation places, the Denton Road outfit finished the campaign on a roll, eventually retaining their top division status with weeks to spare.

Coutances Way will host its first fixture of the 2016 season on April 10 as Birstwith provide the opposition. After a restructuring in the Nidderdale League, the Harrogate side find themselves in the top division and will provide us with a tough test ahead of the curtain raiser the weekend after.
