Boys done good…

A frustrating weekend for the Club on the pitch, with the 1st XI just losing out in a thriller at home to Thackley and the 2nd XI were well beaten away at Calverley, whilst the 3rd XI and Women & Girls games were both called off. However, BRCC did enjoy one victory – As the combined BRCC U15/U17s Lads scored a famous win against… the BRCC U15/U17s Dads! Batting first, Brent Thompson’s ‘Dads’ (Including one ‘Grandad’!) posted 97 off their 16 overs, including 23 from Neil Hatton. The Dads innings also saw the match highlight, with Stuart McKinnon-Evans run out by a sensational direct hit… from his son Sam! After a quick turnaround, the ‘Lads’ set about the run chase. 24 hour fundraising event details confirmed!

The Club will be holding a full 24 hours of cricket based activity on Saturday 25th / Sunday 26th July, and are warmly encouraging all of our senior members, junior players and parents, along with relatives and friends of the Club to get involved and support the fundraising event. We're targeting everyone to raise £25 each, through being sponsored to be involved in at least one of the 'mini-events' that together make up the full 24hrs. The event will start with the first ball of the 1st XI match Vs Thackley, and continue with a continuous Kwik Cricket match open to ALL starting at 6pm. From 8pm, Frank Taylor will start his legendary Beetle Drive game, whilst 'Caribbean' element of the nigh

Three win weekend for senior teams!

Jim Farmery and Brent Thompson at the crease for the 3rd XI Vs The Mutineers With the 3rd XI winning at home to the Mutineers on Sunday, BRCC saw a hat-trick of wins for the senior teams this weekend. The 1st XI knocked off Tong Park Esholt CC’s 212 with five wickets to spare - an unbeaten partnership of 145 seeing us over the line, with Kervon Christmas finishing on 54* and Redmond Bolton on 90*. After a tough start to the 2015 Season, the 1s now have four wins in the last five games. The 2nd XI recorded a 97 run win over Kirkstall Educational CC, with Richard Bolton coming out of retirement to hit 117 on route to 224-5, before Rhydding bowled KECC out for 127. The Rattlesnakes TB T20 Cup run ends!

The Rhydding Rattlesnakes, the Club’s T20 team, were knocked out of the TB T20 Cup at the semi-final stage, following a 5 wicket defeat to local rivals Ilkley CC. The Rattlesnakes, three times winners of the Wharfe valley based TB T20 Cup, progressed out of their mini-league earlier in the competition, which saw us play matches against Steeton, Menston and Poole. This season we struggled to field a consistent side across our games, which isn't ideal to build that team dynamic, but credit to T20 skipper, Robbie Miller and his players for making it to the semis. Throughout the competition, we entered into the spirit of the cup, with T20 Shirt Sponsor MSG Disco on hand during our home matches
