2015 AGM Held

Despite the cold night, and with the ground covered in snow, the 2015 BRCC AGM kicked off at 7.30, and all the business was tied up well before 10.00. Along with comments from both the Club President and Chairman, reports were presented from the senior team Captains, and the representatives from the Junior and Women & Girls sections, reflecting upon a mixed 2014 for the Club, and exciting promise for the year ahead. The Election of Club Officers saw a number of familiar names retain their roles, whilst Oliver Musgrave inherits the 2nd XI Captaincy, Wendi Bolton was voted in as Social Secretary and Stuart McKinnon-Evans was elected as Treasurer. Initial details of winter nets revealed

Initial details of winter nets sessions for the Women & Girls and Junior sections have been announced. The Women & Girls will get back into the swing of things at Westville House School, on Tuesday evenings from 8-9pm on 3rd, 10th, 17th March, and then 7-9pm on 31st March and 7th April. All existing members are welcome to come down, along with anyone interested in playing some cricket this year. The Junior section will also start the 2015 season with nets at Westville House, on Fridays from 13th February until 27th March. Details of exact timings, for all age-groups will follow soon. The winner of the first 2015 BRCC Weekly Draw has been revealed, and the money goes to… Peter Cussons! Peter was the first keyfob drawn out of the pot on Saturday, and received £25. We’re still looking for a number of people to join the scheme, which will allow us to get to the target winning value of £50. The Weekly Draw is a great way to support the Club, and have every chance of winning some money along the way! It’s easier than ever to joi the scheme, as you can now pay by direct debit, which also reduces the cost by over 20% to £8.00 each month – that’s less than £2.00 / week! 2015 promises to be another big year for our cricket club, with a packed diary of events and once again, a full programme of matches for all our teams. Sadly however, running costs continue to grow, which means that this year we need your support more than ever! Following the success of the BRCC Weekly Draw in 2014, the Club have expanded the event for 2015. As you sign up to the scheme, your name will be written onto a keyfob, and added to the pot.
